Should motorists change their vehicle’s oil every 3,000 miles? Not necessarily, since most of today’s vehicles can go 5,000, 7,500 or even 10,000 miles between oil changes. CalRecycle’s “Check Your Number” campaign encourages motorists to follow the manufacturer’s recommendation for oil change interval, thus saving natural resources and money.
