Program operators must submit an initial stewardship program budget with the submission of a home-generated sharps waste stewardship plan and an annual program budget on or before March 31, 2022. Budgets submitted to CalRecycle will be posted on this web page.
Initial Stewardship Program Budget
With the submission of a stewardship plan, a program operator must submit an initial stewardship program budget for the first five calendar years of operation that includes total anticipated revenues, costs of implementing the stewardship program, and a total recommended funding level to operate the stewardship program over a multiyear period.

Annual Program Budget
Annually, beginning on or before March 31, 2022, a program operator must submit a program budget that includes an independent financial audit funded by the covered entity or stewardship organization, anticipated costs of implementing the program for the upcoming calendar year, and the recommended funding level to implement the stewardship program over a multiyear period.
