California Completes Cleanup of Homes Destroyed in 2022 Wildfire Season All Siskiyou County properties ready for rebuilding
SACRAMENTO – Helping survivors of last year’s wildfires prepare to rebuild, California has completed state-managed debris removal operations for the 2022 wildfire season centered in Siskiyou County. Debris removal crews cleared, tested and released all 218 enrolled properties impacted by the Mountain, McKinney and Mill fires.
Industry asked to help shape packaging, plastic pollution law
As California builds the rules to ensure that much of the state’s packaging is either cut or recycled, packaging producers, environmental groups and other interested parties can provide input to help design Senate Bill 54 (Allen, Chapter 75, Statutes of 2022) regulations.
2 New Arrests in $10 Million, Interstate Recycling Fraud Case
LOS ANGELES – Two Arizona business owners arrested this morning for recycling fraud and grand theft face extradition to California as part of the California Department of Justice’s ongoing investigation of a recycling fraud plan to defraud California’s beverage container recycling program. Agents believe the suspects were part of a ring that brought more than nine tons of empty beverage containers from Arizona to Los Angeles for fraudulent redemption.
