CalRecycle accepts online credit card payments (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa) and E-Checks for beverage container recycling fees, oil fees, conference fees, and miscellaneous fees and fines.
Before you make your payment over the Internet, please note the below service fees will be charged by the processing vendor ACI Payments, Inc. This service fee is retained by the vendor and is not revenue to CalRecycle.
Credit Card service fee of 2.95% of the Payment Amount per Card payment, with a minimum of $1.00. The maximum payment amount per Card Payment is $99,999.99.
E-Checks service fee of $0.50 of the Payment Amount per E-Check, with a minimum of $1.00. The maximum payment amount per e-check payment is $5,000,000.
If your Financial Institution requires an ACH Debit Block number for E-Check payments, please email CalRecycle Accounts Receivable
Please Note: Section 6157 of the Government Code authorizes the State to assess a charge of $25.00 for each returned payment.

Wire Transfer/EFT/ACH
When you pay by wire transfer and EFT/ACH your financial institution debits your account and credits the state’s bank account. You initiate this payment method with your bank who may charge you transaction fees for each wire transfer or EFT/ACH transaction.

Payment by Check, Money Order or Cashier Check
When paying by check, money order, or cashier check, write CalRecycle account or invoice number on your payment. Make the payment payable to Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) and mail your payment and supporting documents to:
