Local Enforcement Agency Grant Program

CalRecycle manages a noncompetitive grant program to assist Local Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) with their solid waste facilities permit and inspection program.

Eligibility

Funding

$1.5 million is allocated to this program a year.

  • $1,404,000 is awarded to grantees.
  • $96,000 is budgeted for CalRecycle to provide training and technical support.

Per LEA grant regulation, eligible applicants are limited to LEAs and regional LEAs that are certified by CalRecycle.

Eligible Costs

These grant awards are to be used solely for support of the solid waste facilities permit and inspection programs.
