General

  1. Are there matching funds or cost-sharing requirements for this grant?
There are no matching funds or cost-sharing requirements for the Tire-Derived Product Grant.

Eligibility

  1. We are a previous grantee that received a recycled tire grant in 2013 to place rubber bark in our City Park playground areas. Currently, the rubber bark in the parks needs to be replenished. I noticed in the program instructions, it says that a previously approved project cannot receive the grant again. I would like to confirm if we are eligible to apply for a grant to replenish the rubber bark since it’s been about 10 years, or would this project not be eligible?
As referenced on page 4 of the Application Guidelines and Instructions, previously funded project sites from the Tire-Derived Product Grant (TDP) Program are not eligible. Also, playground resurfacing is not an eligible project for the FY 2023-24 TDP grant.

  2. Are nonprofit organizations eligible for this grant?
Nonprofit organizations are not eligible applicants for the Tire-Derived Product Grant (TDP) Program. Please refer to page 4 of the Application Guidelines and Instructions for a list of eligible applicants.
