Bay Area

Berkeley – Earth Day Shoreline Cleanup | April 19, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Shorebird Park Nature Center
Individuals, families, and groups are welcome to join us for the Earth Day Shoreline Cleanup. All volunteers should plan to wear closed-toe shoes and dress appropriately for the work and weather conditions of the day. Drop-In registration is welcome; pre-registration is preferred. Let’s work together to keep the Berkeley Waterfront clean!

Cupertino – Earth and Arbor Day Festival 2025 | April 5, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Library Field Park
Cupertino’s Annual Earth Day & Arbor Day Festival is an interactive event that invites community members of all ages to learn about environmental issues and solutions in a family-friendly atmosphere. Consistently attracting thousands of attendees and dozens of partner organizations, the Earth Day & Arbor Day Festival features hands-on activities, live entertainment, and delicious food served by local food trucks.

El Cerrito – El Cerrito Earth Day Celebration 2025 | April 19, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The citywide annual celebration includes a morning of volunteerism and work parties followed by a Complimentary seedling giveaway. The City encourages individuals, families and groups to register their work parties in advance.

Emeryville – 2025 Earth Day Shoreline Cleanup | April 27, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Shorebird Park in Emeryville
Help make Shorebird Park a cleaner and safer place for wildlife and people. Collection buckets and/or bags, garden claw, and reusable water bottle, coffee mug, and wear layers, sunscreen, hat and work gloves. Additional tools will be available for use until supplies run out.

Hayward – Citywide Clean-up and Community Fair | April 26, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Weeks Park
The Annual Citywide Clean-Up and Community Fair is a litter pick-up event hosted at Weekes Park through which volunteers come together to collect litter and debris in various neighborhoods throughout Hayward. After the pick-up, community members meet back at Weekes Park, where lunch will be provided for those who register online. There also will be a Community Fair with sustainability-themed booths featuring resources and fun activities hosted by community organizations.

Martinez – John Muir Birthday­–Earth Day 2025 | April 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the John Muir National Historic Site in Martinez
The boyhood home of naturalist John Muir, a federal historic site, will be the site of the city’s John Muir Birthday–Earth Day Celebration. There will be a silent auction, live music, exhibits and activities for kids. Admission is free!

Napa – Earth Day Napa 2025 | April 12, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oxbow Commons

Palo Alto – Earth Day Festival | April 27, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Palo Alto Art Center
Join us at our annual Earth Day Festival for an afternoon of fun and engaging sustainability activities for all ages. Learn about available resources for Palo Alto residents to make an impact and ways your neighbors are taking climate action to support achieving the City’s goals. Fun offerings include special library story times for kids and youth, Zero Waste trivia games, plant giveaways and guided garden tours, local youth sustainability networking, and so much more.

San Francisco – Earth Day San Francisco 2025 | April 19, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Yerba Buena Gardens
This event is a day-long, family-friendly celebration to learn more about the environment and the importance of sustainability. Featuring live performances at the Stage on the Great Lawn. Festivities include a Green Business Expo, tree planting, chalk art, ice art at the Yerba Buena Ice Skating and Bowling Center, carousel rides with Children’s Creativity Museum, giveaways and more!

Santa Clara – Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration | April 10, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Park Pavilion
This free community-wide special event celebrates the environment and will feature a performance, tree climbing demonstration, exhibitor booths promoting environmental education, and more!

San Mateo – Earth Day Bayfront Cleanup | April 26, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Ryder Park
Join us for a fun-filled Earth Day as we do our part and “Team Up to Clean Up” the Bayfront. Be prepared to get dirty, have a good time, and help the environment!

Santa Rosa – Earth Day Festival 2025 | April 26, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Courthouse Square
Our annual Earth Day Festival is a FREE, family-friendly, zero waste festival brings the community together through fun activities, live performing arts, great food, and inspiring exhibits that raise environmental awareness. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate our vibrant city and get involved by learning about solutions to address drought, climate change, and environmental concerns in our community.

Solano County – Earth Day Cleanup | April 26, 2025, at various sites
Coordinated by the Solano County Conservation District, cleanups will take place throughout the county including all seven of its cities. Funding provided through the CalRecycle Beverage Container Recycling City/County Payment Program.

Sonoma – Earth Day 2025 | Digital Resources
To promote sustainability and climate action in Sonoma, the city invites all to celebrate Earth Day 2025–a day for celebration, reflection, and action. The city is sponsoring a Photography Contest and co-sponsoring a Green Business of the Year Award. The city is working with our partners on promoting each other’s events. In addition to the city’s events, other groups and organizations are hosting Earth Week 2025 activities.

Vallejo – Vallejo’s Earth Day Festival | April 25, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Downtown Vallejo
A local, environmentally friendly, family-oriented festival to educate and inspire students, parents, and businesses to reduce or eliminate the use of plastics for the sake of humanity and planetary health. The goal of EARTH DAY around the globe is to achieve a 60% reduction in the production of plastics by 2040, with the ultimate goal of building a plastic-free future for generations to come.

Watsonville – Earth Day Celebration 2025 | April 27, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Watsonville Plaza
Earth Day 2025 will be a celebration of the earth and a place to inspire our community to preserve its health and well-being for our children and future generations. Attendees can participate in games and activities relating to climate action and climate solutions. This event is family-friendly and free of charge.

Windsor – Earth Day Trash Cleanup | April 22, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. at Windsor Town Green
Call for Volunteers! In honor of Earth Day 2025, the Town of Windsor Storm Water Quality Program is organizing a community trash cleanup event. Meet on Market Street at the Windsor Town Green to pick up safety vests, pickers, gloves and bags. Volunteers will be dispatched to in-Town locations to pick up trash. All participants will receive a free gift and snacks.

Central Coast

San Luis Obispo – SLO Earth Fest 2025 | April 26, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Meadow Park
Get ready for a day of inspiration, education, and community connection at SLO EarthFest 2025! Hosted in beautiful Meadow Park, San Luis Obispo this family-friendly event celebrates sustainability and highlights actionable ways to combat climate change at the local level!

Santa Barbara – 2025 Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival | April 26 and 27, 2025 at Alameda Park
This year marks the 55th anniversary of the Community Environmental Council (CEC) hosting the Earth Day Festival, which has grown significantly over the years. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy live music and entertainment, participate in family activities and connect with more than 200 eco-conscious businesses and organizations.

Inland Empire

Victorville – 2025 Earth Day Starts Now | Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority’s Main Plant
Come enjoy an Earth Day celebration! Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority (VVWRA) and Athens Services invite the community to explore how their operations promote environmental stewardship and sustainability. Earth Day Starts Now will be held April 12th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at VVWRA’s Main Plant at 20111 Shay Rd, Victorville, CA. Free Earth Day t-shirts for the first 100 attendees. Facility tours, kids activities, face-painting and information booths and displays. Y-102 will be broadcasting live! Free tacos and Kona Ice!

City of Colton – Spring Celebration | Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Veterans Park
Join the EGGSTRA-special filled day of fun at this free spring celebration featuring an egg hunt and Earth Day activities. City if Colton Electric and Water Departments will also be hosting an Earth Day Celebration with raffles, hot dogs, and tree giveaways. This year’s event will include an egg hunt, kids’ activities, crafts, vendors, and pictures with the Easter Bunny. There will also be a pet vaccination clinic and pet licensing for your fury friends.

San Bernardino – Akoma’s 4th Annual Earth Day Family Fun Celebration | Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Akoma Unity Center

Beverly Hills – Earth Day 2025 | April 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Farmer’s Market
The City of Beverly Hills will be celebrating the 22nd Annual Earth Day event at Farmer’s market on Sunday, April 27th. This year’s theme is “our power, our planet.” The Public Works department will have a booth with information about the City’s sustainability efforts, vendor and organizations booths, free compost giveaway, and free shredding services for the community take part of on that day.

Calabasas – Earth Day Celebration/Green Expo | April 12, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Las Virgenes Creek site
Exhibitors from all over Los Angeles County and Ventura County will be participating in the event to help residents learn more about local programs and initiatives. Calabasas Earth Day/Green Expo was created to be a day of education, celebration, and action for the natural world in which we live.

Carson – CSUDH Earth Day Festival | April 22, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at CSUDH Campus
Join California State University Dominguez Hills in the great outdoors on the South, East, and NSM-SBS walkways for Earth Day-themed tabling and exhibits by campus groups and other organizations from across the state, showcasing their remarkable efforts dedicated to environmental preservation and justice, along with our weekly CSUDH Farmer’s Market.

Claremont – Earth Day Celebration | April 27, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Shelton Park

The City of Diamond Bar is hosting the annual Earth Day Celebration Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the South Coast Air Quality Management District parking lot. There will be a variety of workshops, vendor booths, and activities for children.

Glendora – 2025 Earth Day Festival | April 26, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Glendora City Hall
This year’s theme, “Our Planet, Our Power”, which is championing solar, wind, hydroelectric, geothermal, and tidal generated energy. Mission Viejo – Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration | April 26, 2025 from 8 a.m to 12 p.m. at Oso Creek Trail
The City of Mission Viejo is hosting its annual Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration with a planting and Green Expo from 8 am to noon on Saturday, April 26. Volunteers will have the chance to embrace nature by planting trees and shrubs along the section of Oso Creek Trail that is north of Jeronimo Road. Participants should wear a hat, gloves, boots and sunscreen. Lunch and ice cream will be available for volunteers while supplies last.

Whittier – Earth Day 2025 Community Festival | April 12, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sanitation Districts’ Joint Administration Office
We’ll have our famous Paint-a-Pot and Plant-a-Seed booths. Guests get to decorate a terra cotta pot with paints and once its dry, you move on to the plant poppy seeds (the California State Flower) in it. You get to take the pot home to decorate your home. We’ll also have magic shows and face painters at the Kids Zone.

Burbank
Join the City of Burbank for “A Petal Party in the Park,” Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Ralph Foy Park, located at 3211 W Victory Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505. The event is filled with engaging activities and community spirit celebrating sustainability, eco-conscious initiatives, tree plantings, free tree sapling giveaways, and a diverse vendor and resource fair. Attendees will enjoy live music, delicious offerings from food trucks, and inspiring talks from guest speakers. Fort Bragg – Noyo Food Forest Earth Day Festival April 19, 2025 | April 19, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Fort Bragg High School
Noyo Food Forest’s 16th Annual Earth Day Festival will be held Saturday, April 219 from 12-5pm at The Learning Garden on the Fort Bragg High School campus at 300 Dana Street. The City of Folsom’s second Earth Day Celebration. A free, family-friendly even to learn about sustainability efforts in Folsom and to honor the achievements of the environmental movement and raise awareness. The event will begin with volunteer opportunities.

Celebrate the 55th anniversary of Earth Day with events and activities throughout April. Stop by the Fixit Clinic for tips and tools to repair broken household items. The City of Carlsbad will also host various donation and recycling events, a compost/mulch giveaway, as well as family-friendly activities and live music at the annual Earth Month Celebration at Pine Avenue Community Park.

Chula Vista – South Bay Earth Day 2025 | April 12, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Bayfront Park

Ramona – Ramona Earth Day Festival | April 26, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Begent Ranch
Earth Day Festival will include a variety of speakers, vendors and exhibitors. Entertainment includes live music, food trucks and a Children’s Sustainable Treasure Hunt in which children gather information at booths and exhibits and then sharing the information with Sustainable Ramona volunteers for a reward.

San Diego – San Diego Earth Fest | April 19, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Balboa Park
San Diego EarthFest is a FREE Earth Day celebration featuring over 100 sustainable food, craft and service vendors as well as environmental, conservation and animal rescue groups. Enjoy a full day of entertainment with music, speakers and panel discussions plus yoga and wellness classes and activities for kids. This event is held in Balboa Park on the expansive lawn located at Park Boulevard and Presidents Way. San Diego EarthFest is family-friendly and dog-friendly with free parking available. This is a zero-waste event.

San Diego – 33rd Annual Multi-Cultural Earth Day | April 20, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Word Beat Center
This year, WorldBeat Center’s Multi-Cultural Earth Day and our theme is “Together As One”. Our food and our health are threatened by the conventional way of living, but we the people must all come together and be the solution to today’s problems. Sunday, April 20th, 12pm-7pm (11am-6pm outdoors, 12-7pm indoors). Come enjoy this annual family-friendly with music, dancing, and support local vendors.

Our garden shop will be open with crafts and snacks, and there will be vendor booths!

Our local Earth Day celebration is one of the largest environmental education events in the area. The event provides local residents and visitors an opportunity to learn about the various environmental issues that affect South Lake Tahoe. This is a free, family friendly event open to organizations and vendors that engage the community in a constructive and positive manner at Lake Tahoe Community College on 1 College Avenue, South Lake Tahoe, 96150.

Tahoe/Truckee – Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival 2025 | April 26, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Village of Palisades Tahoe
This free, environmental-education event is a community tradition that takes place in The Village at Palisades Tahoe from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and allows kids and adults to learn about recycling, composting, alternative energy, and sustainability through hands-on activities the whole family can enjoy. The event provides residents and visitors an opportunity to learn about the various environmental issues that affect the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee Region. Plus, don’t miss educational booths, live music, pickel barrel, films, a ‘trashion’ show and raffle.
