CalRecycle is hosting the webinar as part of the series: “SB 1383 Chat with CalRecycle” to provide an opportunity to discuss how the Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act (Senate Bill 54, Allen, Chapter 75, Statutes of 2022) relates to SB 1383 for local jurisdictions. CalRecycle will present in coordination with Emily Coven, Executive Director of Circular Action Alliance, and Leslie Lukacs, Executive Director of Zero Waste Sonoma. All presenters will be available to answer related questions.

We would also like to remind jurisdictions to please submit a Packaging Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Contact Form. This contact will help identify the authorized local jurisdiction representative who may submit an application under the Act or receive updates regarding the status of the application, if the application is submitted by the recycling service provider. Be sure the Packaging EPR contact’s email address can receive inquiries from both PEPRS@calrecycle.ca.gov and packaging@calrecycle.ca.gov.
