Paint Stewardship Program Annual Reporting
Paint stewardship organizations are required to submit an annual report to CalRecycle by May 15 of each year. Refer to the law and regulations for more information on annual report requirements.
PaintCare is currently the only stewardship organization operating a paint stewardship program in California.

2025 Annual Report

- CalRecycle determined that the report was complete on June 15, 2026.
- CalRecycle received no public comments.
2024 Annual Report
Visit the Public Notice for more details regarding CalRecycle’s review of the 2024 Annual Report (resubmitted July 10, 2025).
- CalRecycle determined that the report was compliant on October 30, 2025.
- CalRecycle determined that the resubmitted report was complete on August 11, 2025.
- CalRecycle determined that the report was incomplete on June 16, 2025.
- CalRecycle received one public comment.
2023 Annual Report

- CalRecycle determined that the report was complete on June 13, 2024.

2013-2023 Annual Reports
Prior to 2024, the paint stewardship organization submitted annual reports for each fiscal year (July to June).
- 2023 Annual Report was determined to be compliant on January 18, 2024.
- 2022 Annual Report was determined to be compliant on January 17, 2023.
- 2021 Annual Report was determined to be compliant on January 24, 2022.
- 2020 Annual Report was determined to be compliant on February 22, 2021.
- 2019 Annual Report was determined to be compliant on May 22, 2020.
- 2018 Annual Report was determined to be compliant on January 22, 2019.
- 2017 Annual Report was determined to be compliant on January 29, 2018.
- 2016 Annual Report was determined to be compliant on January 24, 2017.
- 2015 Annual Report was determined to be compliant on January 26, 2016.
- 2014 Annual Report was determined to be compliant on January 27, 2015.
- 2013 Annual Report was determined to be compliant on April 15, 2014.
Copies of documents not linked in an associated Public Notice and information that the interested party believes is redacted beyond what is required by law may be requested via a Public Records Act Request.
