SUMMARY:AB 1311 Bag Drop Virtual Information Session
DESCRIPTION:On August 11\, 2025\, the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) approved the AB 1311 Bag Drop emergency regulations\, which immediately became effective. These regulations allow for bag drop and mobile recycling and specify the application content and operational standards that apply to both bag drop recycling centers and mobile recycling operated by “anchor” recycling centers. \nOn April 15\, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. the Recycler Education and Exams (RE&E) Unit will host a Virtual Informational Session to explain the changes to the way recycling centers may operate using these new regulations within the Beverage Container Recycling Program (BCRP). Interested parties must register via Zoom. Please use the link below to register. After registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing the Zoom link needed to join the session. \nIf you would like to submit questions regarding bag drop or mobile recycling in advance\, please email them to: DORCertFileRoom@calrecycle.ca.gov and we will address them after the presentation during the question and answer portion of the Virtual Information Session. \nRegister for this meeting on Zoom. \nPLEASE NOTE: Space is limited.
