In compliance with Public Resources Code Section 42775, the California Integrated Waste Management Board establishes annual recycled-content newsprint quality standards using test methods approved by the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI). These quality standards, based on manufacturer samples submitted in 2007, will be applied in the 2008 certification, as required by the California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Division 7, Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 17964(g).
The following are the Recycled-Content Newsprint Quality Standards for 2008.
