Alert: This page contains historical data from CalRecycle’s Disposal Reporting System (DRS) reporting requirements prior to October 2019. Under AB 901 (Gordon, Chapter 746, Statutes of 2015) implementation, the Recycling and Disposal Reporting System (RDRS) replaced the DRS reporting requirements. The following reports are required to be submitted for every reporting quarter (due dates listed above). DRS provides a detailed list of due dates, which includes county-specific and facility-specific due dates. For specific requirements, visit the county reporting requirements and facility reporting requirements pages.
- Disposal Reports
Disposal reports detail each jurisdiction’s disposal tonnage (including waste from out of state) at each landfill and transformation facility in the reporting county as well as each jurisdiction’s disposal tonnage at any landfills outside California (exports).
- Facility Summary Reports (FSRs)
Facility summary reports are required for each landfill accepting waste in the reporting county. FSRs report total tonnages and other summary information for a landfill over the reporting quarter.
- Quarterly Station Notifications
Stations (Title 14, California Code of Regulations (CCR), Section 18809.9) are required to report their quarterly information as a station notification to their county every quarter. Quarterly station notifications detail origin information, tonnage information, and facility information. These reports are not required to be sent to CalRecycle, but can be requested.
Every year all permitted and active facilities (landfills, stations, and transformation facilities) must complete an annual facility methods report. These annual facility methods reports provide detail about each specific facility’s operations to CalRecycle. Links to the forms are provided below to assist counties and facilities in meeting these requirements. These forms are due annually to CalRecycle on April 15 for the previous calendar year.
