Beverage Container Recycling Grant and Payment Programs
City/County Payment Program
A total of $10.5 million in grant funds is available annually to eligible cities and counties for beverage container recycling and litter abatement activities. Each city is eligible to receive a minimum of $5,000 and each county is eligible to receive a minimum of $10,000 or an amount calculated by the Department based on per capita, whichever is greater.
The funding request for FY 2011/12 city/county payments was released November 1, 2011. Cities and counties have until January 31, 2012, to apply for the funds. Email notices will be sent to all eligible cities and counties identifying eligible allocation amounts and including instructions on applying for the funds.
